Galatians 4
Don’t Go Back – Galatians 4:1–20
I. Before Christ We Were Slaves (4:1–7)
Paul says this is what life under the Law was like. The Law was never God's final destination; it was God's tutor.
The Law is like a mirror. A mirror can reveal the dirt on your face, but it cannot wash it away.
II. Don’t Return to Slavery (4:8–11)
Anything that takes God's rightful place in our hearts becomes an idol.
To be "known by God" speaks of His covenant love and personal relationship.
III. Remember the Joy You Once Had (4:12–16)
God often accomplishes His greatest purposes through circumstances we would never choose.
God's detours are never accidents.
IV. Be Careful Who Influences You (4:17–18)
The voices we listen to will eventually shape the people we become.
Influence is powerful.
Passion is never a substitute for truth.
V. Christ Must Be formed in Us (4:19–20)
