Study in Ephesian 9

Living as Children of Light:

1. Instructed to imitate God by walking in love.

a. Follow God's example in loving others and forgiving others.

b. Our basis of our Christianity is exemplified in Christ's sacrifice.

2. Instructed to avoid darkness.

a. As a believer, we are not to give any room for these behaviors.

b. Understand that your behavior reveals a heart close or far from God.

c. Deception leads to disobedience which shifts us from God's design.

3. Instructed to live as children of light.

a. Our identity in Christ transforms us from darkness to light.

b. living as light means discerning what pleases God - Honesty, Goodness, and Truth.

c. Exposing darkness rather than participating in it.

d. God's light reveals what's hidden in darkness.

e. This is a call to spiritual awakening.
