Study in Ephesians 3

God's Way of Reconciliation:

1. Understanding our condition and our position.

Because of Christ's resurrection, we are made alive.

Sin (hamartia) means to missing the mark. The perfect standard of God.

Trespass (paraptoma) means overstep or cross God's boundary.

2. Understanding what dominates my life.

When you repented, you turned around.

You were held captive by the world and its ruler.

You choose who you serve.

You were dominated by sinful longing.

3. Understanding God's motivation in His provision of mercy.

Mercy is the great reach of His love.

Grace is the currency by which we are saved.

The transaction from death to life in Christ Jesus raises us positionally.

4. Understanding the greatness of His gift to us.

Our salvation, our rescue, from spiritual death is all God's work.

This is the character and design of grace.

His grace, our faith, changes everything.

5. Understanding that God created us for greater potential.

God has the plan; you supply the yes!
