God's Love 3

OUR FAITH AND GOD’S GIFT OF LOVE:

1. We have a promise that becomes reality.

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by FAITH, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

2. We have access to God.

Romans 5:2a through whom also we have ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE IN WHICH WE STAND…

Ephesians 2:13-14 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

3. We have a glorious hope.

Romans 5:2b … and REJOICE IN HOPE of the glory of God.

1 Peter 1:3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation,

OUR FAITH AND GOD’S GIFT OF LOVE:

4. We have  strength in tribulation.

Romans 5:3-4 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

5. We experience God’s love through the promised Holy Spirit.

Romans 5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN POURED OUT IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO WAS GIVEN TO US.

John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God

Conclusion:

Rest in the truth that we are His children! 

Know that His love is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit and LIVE in that love!
