THE GOOD, BAD, AND THE UGLY:

1. When spiritual alignment happens with the wrong agenda. 

 

a. Luke 22:1-2 

b. The plot to betray Jesus.

 

c. Luke 22:3-6 

 

d. Judas had a greed problem.

 

e. John 12:6 

 

f. “Entered” implies: Willful yielding, alignment with Satan’s agenda.

 

g. Surrender of moral resistance.

2. The Passover provided the means for Jesus to institute the Lord’s Supper. 

a. Luke 22:7-13 

 

b. This is where Jesus began the fulfilment to the New Covenant. 

 

c. Luke 22:14-23 

 

d. Jesus institutes the Lord's Supper, redefining the Passover to symbolize his body (broken) and blood (poured out) for the forgiveness of sins.

 

3. Jesus teaches the importance of servanthood.

a. Luke 22:24-30 

b. In a dispute over who is greatest, Jesus teaches that the leader must be a servant, which is true greatness.

 

c. Assurance is given to the Disciples, Jesus promises they will rule with Him in His kingdom.

 

4. We see the importance of listening to Jesus.

a. Luke 22:31-34 

 

b. The Word of God warns us of things that can come our way.
